Here-Today-Vanagon-Tomorrow Jessica-Lefroy Robbie-Lefroy Rob-Lefroy

Q and A with Jessica & Robbie Lefroy of Here Today Vanagon Tomorrow

Meet Jessica and Robbie Lefroy also known as “Here Today Vanagon Tomorrow”. A few months ago they returned from nine months on the road in their Westfalia. They shipped their camper from Canada to England and spend eight months exploring. From there they came back to North America for another month of traveling. Oh, and they did it all with their 4.5 year old girl, Henley. We had been following Jessica and Robbie’s adventure on Instagram. As serendipity would have it, Jessica reached out to us and are honoured to be able to share their story with you. We hope this inspires you to find your adventure. It’s out there. Before you decided to completely change your life. What did you and your husband do for a living? My husband, Robbie, is a carpenter and sacrificed a lot of time away from his family to work towards our goal. I was able to stay home with Henley and continue my work as a freelance equestrian journalist. Why did you purchase a van? We had a depressingly fleeting relationship with a ’78 …

Meet Lynne Knowlton (and her Dreamy Airstreamy)

Lynne Knowlton is a designer and lifestyle blogger from Ontario Canada. Her motto, “Design the Life you Want to Live” is in regard to anything – your home, camper, travel, life… anything and everything. What kind of life do you want to live? She’s here to inspire you. Lynne is crazy busy but was gracious enough to let us profile her and her awe inspiring renovation story of Happy Camper Airstream – a beautifully restored and renovated 1976 31-foot Sovereign International Land Yacht. It is AMAZING. Why an Airstream? Lynne is a self professed wuss when it comes to sleeping outdoors but she could imagine hitting the open road in an airstream. All the comforts of home, but in a wicked-cool boho style Airstream … no public washrooms… board games…soft fluffy linens…essential oils diffusing lightly in the air…. hours of nothing but conversation. What do you love about Airstreams? “Airstreams have such character and 60% of them are still on the road today. They’ve been making Airstreams since 1931. They’re little time capsules stuck in the era they were born.” …

The New Airstream Basecamp – Hello!

Recently, Airstream added a redesigned model to their lineup. Welcome The new Airstream Basecamp. Airstreams are iconic trailers. They always have been. Their streamlined aluminum exterior hasn’t changed in decades. Enthusiasts around the world covet Airstreams. They gut them, renovate and make them shine. Airstream’s original 2007 Basecamp was created in partnership with Nissan Design America. The new Basecamp brings new ideas, great innovations and a more functional design. Consequently this beauty will become the envy of any campsite and is ideal for taking off the beaten trail. This one has a bathroom! I repeat, it has a bathroom. It’s hard to believe within a 16’ 3” unit there’s room for one, but Airstream has accomplished that feat. Airstream has designed features that have double if not triple functionality to maximize the use of space and efficiency of the trailer. For example, a pass through from the bathroom to the exterior brings the shower head outside to wash off sand from your morning swim or clean that muddy bike from your afternoon ride. Get your solar panels ready. A solar pre-wring kit comes standard …

Mehrzeller Camper of the future

You Need to See These Modern Campers

We’ve tracked down some cool modern campers from around the world (so you don’t have to… you’re welcome). Have a look. Colim Concept Caravan Although still a concept, the Colim bridges nicely between car, motorhome and camper. Detach the front and you have a car to drive around. Additionally, one can customize the interior to include a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and seating area. Equally important is it sleeps four people comfortably. Colim is an acronym for ‘Colors Of Life In Motion’. All in all, this one would be pretty neat to see out on the open road. Sealander Welcome to the first ever amphibious caravan. For those who truly want to get away from it all. Pull it behind your vehicle, back it up down a boat ramp, unhook and away you go. Although it looks a bit odd, it’s a very cool idea. Mehrzeller The Mehrzeller takes customization to a whole new level. Working with architects, clients can customize the layout of their camper accordingly. With a hexagonal shape and bright, clean modern lines inside you’ll be the talk …
