Anyone interested in the camper life (and lives close to, or travelling near, the booming fashion and art-centric city of Düsseldorf) will no doubt be headed to Caravan Salon Düsseldorf this August 26-September 3. It is the worlds largest fair of it’s kind, after all.
600 exhibitors in 13 halls featuring some of the latest in camper designs, travel destinations and innovative accessories. Over 130 caravan brands with nearly 2,100 recreational vehicles will grace the market floor as camp enthusiasts cop peeks of perhaps their next big purchase or simply dream about camping in style and comfort in future years.
We’re particularly excited to see the newest arrivals from all the top European caravan manufacturers. We’d mention a few but there are literally too many to list!
A 1-day adult ticket including car parking and catalogue is € 30.00, ticket and venue information can be found at https://www.caravan-salon.de/.
Of course while you’re in Düsseldorf we thought you’d want a short list of things to do. Our top picks include relaxing in Nordpark or any of the other many beautiful Düsseldorf green spaces, dining and drinking in some of the cities best gastropubs, checking out one of the many art galleries and museums in this world-class art destination, or strolling past Frank Ghery’s Dancing Houses for a feast for the eyes. The iconic Mercedes Sprinter van, the chassis of which many new RVs are made, are built right there in Düsseldorf!
For those travelling to Düsseldorf by motorhome or caravan we’d suggest making stops or camping along the world-famous Rhein River Valley, taking a quick visit to Cologne, the official rival city of Düsseldorf.
