RV Rental Giants Outdoorsy and RVshare Snag a Total $75M in Funding

It’s been a busy February for RV peer-to-peer rental marketplaces Outdoorsy and RVshare. Both companies have recently announced major funding rounds totalling $75 million, intensifying the battle for American and global market domination. A week ago, the increasingly popular rental site, Outdoorsy.com announced to the world a $25M class B round of financing led by Aviva Ventures and Alto Ventures, with participation from Tandem Capital and Autotech Ventures according to this TechCrunch article. The news coming shortly after launching into Canada earlier in 2018. Then, just today, shortly after announcing the arrival of new CEO Jon Gray and launch of their new Austin, Texas office, RV rental marketplace RVshare made headlines with news of a $50 million investment by Tritium Partners, whose partners led a previous investment round with Gray’s former company – HomeAway, according to a press release.
