Volkswagen has released news of yet another newbie to the campervan scene at Düsseldorf Caravan Salon this time with the revealing of the new California XXL which, honestly, is nicer than many high end apartments.
This beautiful abode on four wheels is built on VW’s Crafter cargo van chassis and has all the comforts of home and then some. To list just a few features: heated and cooled bed, heated flooring, full-slide side door, cork flooring, space-age-like interior design, and immense panorama sunroof. Not to mention the well appointed galley with pop-up gas burners and hidden espresso machine perfect for those morning cups of coffee.
The beastly and beautiful California XXL is decked out with a 4Motion all-wheel drive power system that is no doubt more than capable for navigating the rugged backroads or for simple rural paved road travel. One thing is for sure, a quiet nights camping sleep is practically guaranteed in a campervan that looks this good, even compared to it’s concept brother the VW I.D Buzz. We can’t’ wait to try it out.
